Start Here: The Basic Front Knot for Stretch Wraps

The basic front knot is the foundation for most stretch wrap carries. We recommend mastering this first before moving on to other positions, as many techniques build from this base.

Step 1 — Locate the Centre of the Wrap

Place the centre of the wrap flat against your stomach, ensuring the fabric is not twisted.

Step 2 — Cross the Fabric Behind Your Back

Bring both ends around your back and cross them, pulling the fabric snug but comfortable.

Step 3 — Bring the Fabric Over Your Shoulders

Bring each end over your shoulders to create two shoulder straps, keeping the fabric spread evenly.

Step 4 — Create the Front Cross

Cross the two panels over your chest to form a secure pocket at the front.

Step 5 — Create the Back Cross

Take the straps behind your back and cross them again

Step 6 — Secure with a Knot

Bring the ends behind your back and tie a secure double knot.

Before placing your baby in the wrap, ensure the fabric is snug and evenly distributed. Always refer to our Safety Guidance before use.
